Buffet Attendant (Days)
Join our team at Blue Gate Restaurant as a buffet attendant. Our buffet attendants work hard to ensure the smooth operation of our buffet. Your hard work and positive attitude will help us deliver a great customer experience. You can be the reason why our guests leave with smiles and return in the future. 

Buffet attendant responsibilities include:
•	Setting up the buffet daily
•	Stocking and cleaning the buffet.
•	Ordering and transporting food.
•	Communicating professionally with kitchen staff and guests.
•	Completing other duties as assigned.
•	Assisting the kitchen team as needed.

The buffet attendant will work three times per week until May and five times weekly beginning in May—usually 9:00 am until 4:00 pm and 7:00 am until 2:00 pm twice weekly during the summer. Working Fridays and Saturdays is required. Adult buffet attendants earn $16.00 per hour, and paid training is provided. We train our team in other areas of the kitchen so each person can build new skills.

Buffet Attendant Requirements:
•	Must be willing and available to work weekends (Fridays and Saturdays) and holidays. (Availability of Monday through Saturday is preferred)
•	Safe food handling practices.
•	Must work on Fridays and Saturdays.
•	Excellent communication with the team, managers, and guests
•	Ability to perform the physical demands of the job, which include standing and moving for an eight-hour shift, lifting, working under pressure, bending, reaching, and stretching.
•	Must be at least 17 years old.
•	Work efficiently and accurately.

Dishwasher (Part-time)
Join our kitchen team as a dishwasher at The Blue Gate Restaurant in Shipshewana, Indiana. You will efficiently clean and wash dishes, flatware, pots, pans, and kitchen equipment while maintaining a safe and organized work area as a dishwasher. In addition, you will retain bus carts, tubs, garbage containers, and the dish machine. Other responsibilities include keeping the entire dish room area sanitary and orderly, including the dishwashing machine, washing mats, and sinks. A dishwasher will also polish the dishwasher and perform nightly closing duties and tasks as assigned by your managers.
 
Dishwasher Requirements:
· Ability to meet the physical requirements of the job, including standing for an entire shift, bending, stretching, moving, and lifting. 
· Must agree to work the closing shift, including Fridays and Saturdays.
· Must work efficiently and perform well within a team environment.
· Ability to follow instructions and work efficiently.
· Communicate professionally and effectively. 
· Must be at least 18 years old.

As a part-time dishwasher, you will work up to four weekly shifts, including our closing shift, from 4:00 pm until finished (usually 10:00 pm or later), including Thursdays, Fridays, and Saturdays. We prefer open availability on weekdays and require open availability on Saturdays. No Sundays! We provide paid training, and adult hourly rates start at $13.00 per hour.

Host (Part-time)
Join our team at the Blue Gate Restaurant as a Host/Hostess. As a Host/Hostess, you will effectively communicate with guests from all over the country, from welcoming them upon arrival to thanking them as they leave. Your primary responsibilities are:
Greeting guests
Answering questions and providing information
Taking guests to their table with menus
Clearing tables
Operating a cash register
Communicating accurately, effectively, and professionally

A Host/Hostess rotates stations with different responsibilities daily, which provides variety and helps develop new skills. A part-time host/hostess will work on Fridays and Saturdays, with the possibility of adding more shifts during our peak season. No Sundays! Adult wages start at up to $15.00 per hour. 

Host/Hostess Requirements:
Welcoming personality
An open schedule and a willingness to work when needed, including days and evenings until closing.
Working on Fridays and Saturdays is required!
Must communicate professionally with guests, co-workers, and managers
Must perform the job duties accurately and efficiently

Breakfast Worker
Join our team as a breakfast worker at the Blue Gate Garden Inn, a beautiful facility in Shipshewana, Indiana. Our breakfast attendants help ensure that each guest gets a great start to their day by preparing a delicious breakfast for every guest. Some job duties include making simple breakfast foods and quick order items such as omelets, serving guests, stocking the buffet, cleaning up, washing dishes, and other tasks as assigned. 

As a breakfast worker, you will work five times weekly from approximately 7:00 am until 11:00 am, including Saturdays and Sundays. Open availability is preferred. Adult wages start at $14.00 per hour with a $2.00 shift differential on Sundays.

Ability to lift 30 pounds, stand, bend, stretch, etc., for an entire shift

Food Prep Worker (Mornings)
Join our kitchen team as a food prep worker at The Blue Gate Restaurant. We are a busy restaurant in the heart of Amish country with visitors from all over the country. We are focused on teamwork and a consistent quality product. Your effort will ensure that guests enjoy a good meal and leave with a smile.

Food prep workers' responsibilities include the following:
Preparing food.
Following recipes.
Making simple dishes.
Assembling and plating meals.
Cleaning and sanitizing your work area.
Other tasks as assigned.

Experience in the food industry is helpful but optional. We cross-train all team members to provide them with the knowledge and skills to work in all areas of our kitchen. 

We have a part-time morning food prep position from 6:00 am until 2:30 pm three times weekly, including Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays. Open availability is preferred! Saturdays are required! We are closed on Sundays. Adult wages start at $16.00 per hour.

Food Prep Worker Requirements:
Safe food handling practices.
Willingness to work until closing.
Properly prepare food as trained and instructed.
Must be at least 18 years old.
Must lift, hold, and move up to 50 pounds consistently.
Ability to stand on your feet and move the entire shift.
Must be teachable with a desire to learn and grow.

Front Desk Receptionist
Join our Blue Gate Garden Inn team as a front desk receptionist. You will provide excellent customer care through effective communication and a professional demeanor. A front desk receptionist can positively impact our visitors and the team daily! Some duties include checking guests in and out, answering questions, assisting guests, and performing other assigned tasks. Each day brings smiles, the challenge to learn and grow, and the rewards of serving others! 

As a full-time front desk receptionist, you will work five weekly shifts, generally from 2:45 pm until 11:00 pm. You will also train on the 7:00 am until 3:00 pm and 1:00 pm until 9:00 pm shifts. Open availability is preferred! Saturdays and Sundays are required! Experience in an administrative environment or customer care is preferred! Hourly rates start at up to $16.00 per hour.
