The Hopper Brothers 2.0: The Good 'Ol Carolina Boy Tradition Carries On

Apart of a rich musical heritage, now in its 58th year, Michael Hopper joined his family group as a drummer at the tender age of 13. The younger Hopper Brother, widely- known and revered for his accomplishments as a percussionist, now steps up to the mic to fill the foundational roll of the bass. His smooth melodic tone shines through those intricate chords, completing the harmonies and rounding out the unique sound of the second generation Hopper Brothers.

In 1996, a 19-year-old, clean-shaven Matthew got his first job as a roadie with the Hoppers. After several years of sticking around Southern Gospel, he took off to Nashville and ended up working for countless celebrities. During that time, he was given a new title - Matty G - which he still goes by 'til this day. With deep musical family roots, it was only a matter of time before Matty would return to the stage. By what could only be described as divine appointment, he's rejoined his old friends to help carry on the 58- year Hopper tradition.

From the small town of Connelly Springs, North Carolina, comes the fresh face of Nathan Kistler. With a minister father, he spent 42 weeks a year traveling across the states as well as mission work to 27 foreign countries. More recently, he crossed musical boundaries when asked by producers to vocally coach contestants on the X- Factor. He's belted his tenor notes everywhere from the capitol steps of DC to Jerusalem's Southern steps, and nowadays he's at home with his roll in the Hopper Brothers 2.0...

The eldest son of Claude - the patriarch and founding member of the original Hopper Brothers - Dean Hopper has been on the road, steadily, for more than 37 years. Beginning as a tyke on the drums, then making his way to the forefront as a bass player and finally a lead singer, Dean had a ringside seat for all the Gospel music legends in their hay day. He not only was fascinated, but absorbed what made the Greats great and is eager to pass that along to the next generation...Following in his father's footsteps, the Hopper Brother 2.0 is born.
