The Shipshewana Craft Barn is located at the four-way stop in town and is directly across from the Blue Gate Restaurant. The Craft Barn was initially a shop used to craft model horses by the Blue Gate’s founder Mel Riegsecker.

Now, it is a shop filled with trendy fashion accessories, gifts, collectibles, seasonal décor, and a year-round Christmas Shop! An insider tip, shop here in the AC once its too hot at the Shipshewana Flea Market

1. Boutique

This area of the Craft Barn offers over 1,400 square feet of boutique items. It features loads of fashion jewelry, the latest trends in handbags and wallets, clothing, scarves, shoes, and more. It also contains a wide assortment of rings for all your fingers and toes.

2. Christmas Shop

Find all you need for Christmas in the year-round Christmas section! The friendly staff will help you put together a designer look for your Christmas tree. Make sure and look for the unusual specialty Christmas items and Christmas books.

3. Gift and Collectibles Center

Grab your items here to remember Shipshewana by! Located towards the center of the Craft Barn is plenty of items to help you remember your trip to Shipshewana. Including items like shirts, sweatshirts, mugs, hats, and more. Don’t forget to stop by here before you leave Shipshewana!

4. Men’s Section

Although most of the shop is geared towards more women’s clothing and jewelry, there is a small men’s section! There is sports memorabilia, men’s clothing, belts, cologne, and more. If you are shopping for the man in your life, then this is the perfect store to stop at it grab him something!

5. Oyster Pearls

There is a small stand located in the center of the store that has real oysters and pearls! You choose an oyster, crack it open, and get the pearl! You can even put the pearl you find in a necklace that way you don’t lose it.

6. Porch

Don’t let going outside stop you from shopping. Outside the Craft Barn is a porch that features lots of signs and wind chimes. There is also a small selection of polyvinyl porch furniture, that you can sit on while you admire the signs and wind chimes outside.
